I told the first bridal boutique I visited that I did not want a mermaid flare, lace, or a veil. I ended up with exactly that because I fell in love with this dress, and even more so once the alterations were complete. It is a newer model, so I haven't seen it around as much, making it seem unique even before alterations. The seamstress was phenomenal and I was comfortable dancing in it all night. Our first dance even included a lift, so the slit was clutch.
